TEPCO Threatening "Either Let Us Start Up Nuke, or We Will Stop Cleanup Work at Fukushima"

stock here:
In the first step in TEPCO abandoning the Fukushima site, they have restructured the company, lumping the nuclear shut down plants and the eco-tragedy site Fukushima together under one entity, and seperate from all other TEPCO entities.

They will either bankrupt this entity, or use it to strong arm Japan into letting them startup their nuke assets.

 Tepco announces restructuring

19 August 2015

Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) has announced a restructuring of the company which will see its nuclear and decommissioning operations remaining under a new holding company, while its non-nuclear businesses will be spun off into three subsidiaries.

Tepco announced yesterday that, as from 1 April 2016, the company would be structured under a holding company to be known as Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings. Meanwhile, its fuel and thermal generation operations will be placed in a subsidiary called Tepco Fuel and Power Incorporated; its power transmission and distribution business will become Tepco Power Grid Incorporated; and, its electricity retail operations become Tepco Energy Partner Incorporated.

The company said that its nuclear-related operations will remain within the holding company. "The holding company takes responsibility for compensation, decommissioning and revitalization related to the Fukushima nuclear accident", Tepco said.

  1. Tepco should not be allowed to "spin off" its assets, leaving only a hollowed-out shell corporation to decommission Fukushima.
On the other hand, FDNPP should have been nationalized right from the start of this disaster. ;)

    1. Ya, except for Hilda-beast clinton and her "y'all roll out the BP playbook and we will keep buying your food and keep China off your back until you got your own nukes"...except for that, this even deserves and international military response.

  3. The Japanese Nuclear Utility "Gangs"who are already making Billions in Fukushima "cleanup are now holding their Country up by threatening to stop the Fukushima Cleanup.

Remember that TEPCO is now owned by the Japanese Government, so in reality the Japanese Government is threatening its own people to stop Fukushima Cleanup.

The Japanese people are being treated no better than the people of N. Korea since neither has any real say about what their Governments are doing or which energy generation they should be using since they have to pay for it.

    1. Indeed, what is the health risk to a population when you know for sure that your leaders are in control of your life, and they don't give a shite about you? Its horrible.
